RULING
1. This matter has been brought to this court through a request by Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamud for review of sentence. It is stated in the request for review filed on 28th September that he is a young boy who needs care. His age or estimated age was not stated.
2. In the trial court, he was charged with four counts. He was convicted on his own plea of guilty and sentenced. There is no indication that he was a young man. His identity card or purported identity card says that he was born in April which means that he is an adult.
3. Having said so, the prosecuting counsel Mr. Okemwa states that I should consider the request for revision as the applicant merely request review of sentence. Counsel thus stated that this court should not apply the provisions of section of the Criminal Procedure Code. Counsel submits that in any case, this court had jurisdiction to call for the file and review the orders of the trial court.

Man sentenced to 25 years for killing woman whose body was dumped in Upper Arlington park
A Columbus man will spend the next 25 years in prison for killing a woman whose body was stuffed inside a suitcase and set on fire in an Upper Arlington park more than three years ago.
Mohamed Abdullahi, 30, of the city's Northwest Side, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Franklin County Common Pleas Court under a plea agreement to involuntary manslaughter, felonious assault, tampering with evidence, gross abuse of a corpse and two counts of criminal mischief in connection with the death of year-old Bobbie Simpson in October
Abdullahi had previously been charged with aggravated murder, murder, arson, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and driving while intoxicated.
Simpson's mother and stepfather left the courtroom while Franklin County assistant prosecutor Cory Helffrich outlined the facts of the case.

A man accused of first-degree murder admitted in court Monday he is a gun-toting crack dealer but denied he was a gang member who fatally shot an innocent man because he was on enemy turf in a west-end Toronto housing complex.
Instead, Abdullahi Mohamed testified in Superior Court he and co-accused Trevaughan Miller were walking through Scarlettwood Court to do a drug deal when he thought he saw a man he knew as “Biggs” to whom he sold drugs to on “consignment.”
Biggs was ignoring Mohamed’s attempt to collect $, so Mohamed said he decided to fire a warning shot over his head to tell him he was serious about collecting the debt.
“I had a gun on me . . . I let out one shot . . . (that went) high and wide,” Mohamed told jurors. “After I let off the first shot . . . he turned around and said ‘Hey, hold on,’ right away, (I knew) that’s not Bigg’s voice . . . I realized it was the wrong person.”
