On Thursday March 24, the motorsport world lost a lady with a huge passion for and a talented understanding of motorsport and marketing and how to best combine them. Louise Teesdale passed away at her home in Melbourne, Australia.
Louise was involved in marketing at Ford New Zealand back in the early-mid 's when Neil Allport ran the Ford Telstars with Paul Radisich and Nigel Arkell driving, when 2-Litre touring car racing was strong in New Zealand.
Louise went to Ford UK or Europe and was involved with Ford's WRC campaign and Ford's BTCC Super Touring effort with West Surrey Racing.
Louise was back in Australia, still with Ford and, I am told, involved with the Falcon brand.
She saw, knew, and understood the valuable and intangible benefits of having a brand promoted in motorsport, and for Ford she is a talent lost.
