A shrewd and highly-reasoned statesman, Salah Eddin, known in the European history as Saladin, managed to wield the reins of power in Egypt.
Through the efforts of these extraordinary leaders the Muslims from Egypt to Baghdad were united in the face of the invading Crusaders.
